The Gainesville Pops! celebrates spring with music from the stage and screen during the annual Spring Arts Festival downtown Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville.

The Pops will entertain art festival visitors with well-loved selections including Mozart’s famous overture from one of the greatest operas ever written, the Marriage of Figaro, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Procession of the Nobles, familiar to PBS viewers. From the Broadway stage and movies, The Pops will play favorite numbers from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical sensation, The Phantom of the Opera, and Disney’s The Lion King.

The Gainesville Pops Spring Arts concert is free. The next concert will be May 18th in honor of Armed Forces Day.

The Gainesville Pops! presents their Annual Fall Concert on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Gainesville First United Methodist Church.  The Concert will begin at 3:00pm and will feature the following works:

  • Selections from Suite of Old American Dances – Robert Russell Bennett
  • Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral – Richard Wagner
  • Tocatta for Band – Frank Erickson
  • Fanfare and Allegro – Clifton Williams
  • and some Halloween Season Works

The Gainesville Pops! is pleased to be back in rehearsal and have determined our concert dates for the 2012 Fall Season.

Our annual Fall Concert will take place on October 13, 2012 at 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville.

Our annual Christmas Concert will take place on December 15, 2012 at 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville.

The Gainesville Pops! is happy to announce that our Fall 2011 Season is getting underway.  Rehearsals will begin on September 12 for our members and our concert dates are as follows:

  • Fall Concert: Saturday, October 30th
  • Holiday Concert: Saturday, December 10th

Our concerts are held at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church on NE 1st Street.  Times for the concerts will be announced shortly.
